Hi, Landyn. Welome to this community site. Are you asking about the USA team for your daughter, age 10?

Hi Landyn,

I run girl's national programs and the Girl's International Baseball Academy. I would love to learn more about your daughter and her baseball dreams. Please visit my website at BaseballForAll.com

I recommend researching how Chelsea Baker and Marti Sementelli hand themselves, and how supportive, loving their parents are: of all the kids on their daughters' teams. The bottom line is this more about the team than the individual; any way in which your daughter contributes to to success of the team; anything you can say DURING the game about the other kids, in support of ANYTHING they do that is positive; even when the other kids are down, and you can find something positive to say; turning lemons into lemonade; reminding them about how well they did the same thing last time and it will come around again: all of this support for the other kids will lead to the walls coming down; they will mimic your behavior and everyone will have a much better time. Oh, also: if you can be supportive of the kids on the opposing team that is essential: any kid that performs well deserves the support and accolades. But, you have to read that one a bit more carefully and maybe test the waters only on key plays; after the game, in passing the opposing players, whomever won the match: say something positive. It is essential that your daughter get into the same habits, each and every game. One thing that Justine has advised Chelsea about: it is right to be proud of your own accomplishments, too, and not to back down from self-confident, patting one's self on the back for a great effort and success. If your daughter struck out the slugger on the opposing team: she needs to accept that she did a terrific thing and the rewards that come with it.
